No-cook Play-Doh Recipe
So, I was trying to set up an activity with play doh for my daughter the other day, and I figured out that I didn’t have any regular, ol’ white play doh. I’ve been making our own play doh ever since she started playing with it (I tried a gluten-free version and, um, don’t try that…), but I didn’t have any in white? Ridiculous. I guess I like colors… whatever.

Anyway, I had to make a new batch and I figured I would make a little video and post the recipe while I’m at it!
So here it is!
No-cook Play-Doh
2 cups regular flour
1/2 cup salt
2 Tbs Cream of tartar
2 Tbs vegetable oil
1.5 cups boiling water
Food coloring (optional)
Glycerine (optional, but I like it better with)
Mix all dry ingredients; add oil and mix together. Add food coloring to boiling water (if desired), and then add water to dry ingredients. Mix until doughy and then start kneading if cool enough to handle. It will be sticky initially, so keep kneading until no longer sticky. Add flour as needed to achieve desired consistency. Let cool, and its ready to play!
To store your play-doh simply wrap in saran wrap or in a ziplock taking care that all or most of the air is out! You can keep this doh for about 6 months or until you feel like you need a fresh batch!
